Arizona Renaissance Festival

Hear ye, hear ye; it is time to admit that I am a huge fan of any event where I can dress up in a theme. That, of course, brings us to the annual renaissance fair that Arizona hosts. Each year from February 1 – March 30 the festival is open every weekend for all to enjoy. I attended this year with a couple of close friends and was reminded why I keep coming back.

From delicious snacks and drinks to friendly vendors and even more entertaining acts, the fair truly has something for everyone. Want to watch a father-daughter duo throw knives? Sure thing! Prefer flaming whips? You’ve got it! Is jousting more your style? They have that, too! There is even a small animal exhibit/petting zoo that had baby goats this year.

My beverage of choice on this lovely Sunday was a mojito (more correctly, a few, as I was a passenger princess this year), which paired quite surprisingly with a whole dill pickle. Another friend got a charcuterie board, which we shared (I, of course, snagged all the olives).

While I would like to drone on and on about all the things we did, truthfully I can’t because it was really hot and we only lasted three hours out in the sun. Regardless, 12/10 will go back next year.

P.S. there’s new merch styles including some items for your furry friends 🙂
